Autoren Explosion / Author Explosion

Heeey Leute :D

Eure Marie.

This event (please click here for more information and the event itself on facebook) is for authors (indie or not) to REALLY get their names out there.
Whether they've already published, or on their way, building a fan-base can never happen soon enough. We make sure people know their names.

Each one will get special attention and promotions through fb accounts, this event, websites and blogs, OTHER bloggers who have graciously offered to help out, other pages that allow postings, Twitter, Pinterest and many more-

So here is the first author: (Tomorrow then the second! ♥)

AUTHOR INTERVIEW FOR THE AUTHOR EXPLOSION EVENT

Author: Inge-Lise Goss

1. What are the titles of your books, and tell me a little about each one.
Currently, I only have one published book, The Tegen Cave, a dark fantasy. It’s about Sara Jones Running from her boyfriend’s organized crime family and starting a new life in a new town. But when people around her start dying from poisonous spider bites after she receives a mysterious package with a spider concealed inside, she worries that the family has found her. Life takes an even more bizarre turn when she seems to be not only immune to the spider venom, but also surrounded by a sinister group of people using spiders to incapacitate their prey. Even her new boyfriend starts acting suspiciously. Just who can she trust?

The Cost of Crude, a mystery/thriller novel, will be released later this year by Silver Tongue Press. Gwynn Reznick is thrown into a web of corruption after her best friend and co-worker dies in a car crash that turns out to be a planned murder. Determined to find the perpetrator, she works undercover with a private investigation team, led by Ruben Dordi, to acquire evidence. As they delve deeper into the crime, they find a trail of victims among Wilton Oil and Gas Company employees linked to a conspiracy that threatens a catastrophic pipeline disaster.

2. What is your favorite genre to write? To read?

To date, I have written in three genres: dark fantasy, mystery/thriller, and YA—science fantasy. I write whatever my muse dictates and I love the journeys where each story takes me. Those genres are all equal on my favorite list. They’re also the genres I enjoy reading the most, but I read all genres.

3. Is there anything about one of your books you totally hate and wish you could change, but everyone else seems to like?

In The Tegen Cave, I wanted Sara to end up with her other suitor, but my muse insisted on the ending. So far the reviews and comments I’ve received about the novel like the ending. However, I’ve had contacts from my webpage asking about a sequel and a few have also asked about the guy she left behind. Right now I’m working on a sequel and her other love will show up again.

4. Where do you do most of your writing?

In my den, a bright, pale yellow room on the second floor with textured walls and uncovered windows. It overlooks tree tops, the ridge of red rock canyon, and a road that is seldom traveled. I sit in an Eames chair in front of a large glass-top desk that wraps around a corner of the room. The place is free of distractions, and my muse and I think it is the perfect place to write.

5. Who are your favorite authors?

Anne Rice, Charlaine Harris, Suzanne Collins, Stieg Larsson, John Grisham, Robert Parker, and so many others. Unfortunately, Stieg Larsson and Robert Parker are no longer with us.

6. What's the one genre you absolutely will NOT write about? Why?

Humor. I like reading humorous stories, but I’m just not that funny and neither is my muse.

7. Do you often use people you know as characters? And do you tell them if you do?

I try not to use people I know. Yet, sometimes their emotions and characteristics tend to surface, but not enough where they would recognize themselves.

8. Have you had any creepy fan experience yet?

No. Thank goodness.

9. Does your family know about ALL the books/stories you've written, or are you keeping a few hidden?

I keep my family well informed, but only my husband and daughter read The Tegen Cave before it was published. Not because I didn’t want other family members to read it. They just didn’t have the time.

10. Have you ever gotten a book-crush on one of your characters, and did your spouse/mate find out? If so, give us the juicy details!

Whenever I immerse myself in a novel, whether I’m writing it or reading it, I identify with the characters. I smile when they smile, cry with them, and feel the joy when they fall in love. No crushes, but I certainly wouldn’t mind seeing a few of the guys in person!

11. Last, but not least, is there anything you would like to say to your fans?

Thank you for all the encouragement, wonderful notes and comments, and most important, thank you for reading my novel!
